Mavs beat Lakers tonight HUGE win..yet the highlight on SportsCenter is of the Lakers dunking in the top 10 plays of the night, hmmmm guess it was such a great play that it scared the points right off the Lakers board.... love how the Mavs never get the credit they deserve on big wins!

I LOVE what Shawn Marion said. We're on the map-just cause they don't talk about us doesn't mean we're not there. Look on the map-there's Dallas, right there.
now THAT'S what's up =D

(now all we have to do is teach him that Dallas is um, North Texas...:-/)

To be totally fair, it was a helluva dunk. Still, if memory serves, Shawn saw his dunk and raised three more. :-D

Of course they are being homers for the fakers the media and the whole leauge refs included are in the business of marketing the fakers I was definately supirsed the see how close to fair the officiating was last night especially when you look at past games against them. It's kind of a shame Shawn Marion had two great dunks at least in fact much better than Browns dunk that he should have been a technical foul for hanging on the rim but I guess if your a laker you can get away with it.

Because they have to make sure that the lakers get their publicity. They wouldn't want to lose money now would they? Us Maverick people don't get to have that kind of publicity because the Mavs don't have Kobe Bryant on their team. Plus, Shannon Brown was lighting it up and a 6'3" gaurd packing it like he did is quite impressive I must say.

The mavs never seem to make it into any highlight reels. We're branded as a boring team in terms of offensive play but I really don't think thats true at all.

Yea... they never give Mavericks the real praise they deserve for such a big win.... but they did win and that's what I love about them. Like Shawn Marion said, The Mavs are on the map, even if people don't talk about them. :)

I think the Mavericks got credit. NBATV gave them pretty good props, ESPN really focused more on the Lakers loss than the Mavericks win though. The Shannon Brown play definitely Top 10 material! OMG his head was like an inch from the rim, just insane for a 6'2" guard. Great win Mavs.

It does not matter if the media didn't give the Mavs credits. What matter the most is that we won and we know that we can play w/ the top teams. The respect is within our selves and we don't need to brag about it. We should continue to work hard and just be happy to be under the radar. We didn't earn anything yet and it's a good thing that we are not predicted to be at the top. There is less pressure and we can continue to get better and grow stronger as a team. Anyways, the team showed what is capable and they didn't melt under pressure which shows a sign of growth and leadership. The team stuck together and they took it to the world champions. I love it how we didn't back down and gave them some big blows. Coach Carlisle did a really good job of coaching and kept the Mavs relaxed at all times. He managed the rotation really well and really knew what defense touse on the Lakers.

Typical for the city of Dallas and the media.

It was a Sweet win for us Mavericks fans who couldnt be there in person to back our team. As for the "dunk" big whhooopp!!! I was surprised to see Kobe so calm, along with Artest. Although it may look to the Faker Fans that they gave that win to the Mavericks, we know the real truth. Oh yes the officiating, that was a treat to actually see some fair calls for both teams.. I admit The fakers are a team we have to contend with, let's just hope the next time we meet. We get the same "respect" from the officials.
As for the News casts, I've learned to turn off ESPN after a game, for they will NEVER give the Dallas Mavericks their dues. They are paid to "pump up" the FAKERS....but we all know our Dirk is far more man than Kobe anyday of the week, month or year..........................LET'S GO MAVS................:)

I see several empty seats close to the court at the Izod Center. I guess that's what happens when you have a really bad start to the season.

That is what I say also.. You upset a team to the point they play on pride and you have a fight on your hands.. That is why all teams speak highly of other teams publicly

mavs are in a no-win situation. If they win they were suppossed to beat the 0-17 nets and its really no big deal. If they lose, they become the laughingstock of the nba by being the team the nets finally beat. Fish believes this is a major possibi...
