I say if we can get him it would be a great decision. Mavs are limited on athleticism and adding one of the leagues best athletes for a player that never played wouldnt be too bad of a deal for us. The only thing I'm concerned about is moving J-Ho to shooting guard. He is very good at driving to the basket and defense but isnt the best shooter. That would limit us behind the 3 point line. What do yall think?

Shawn should be a great addition. He comes from a run and gun team we all love to play against. I think with Kidd, Gortat, Dirk, Jet, Josh and Hollins we should really light up the Double AC with some explosive action. D # is exactly what we need.

I think Kidd needs another leaper to lob the ball up to. I don't see how adding another good player, possibly all-star calliber, can hurt the Mav's. I agree, we need his defence. I'm hearing next year we may have all this caproom. Can you imagine if we can land like a D-Wade. Our rotation would look like the old 80's Lakers or Celtic's teams. And about the whole 3-pointing shooting thing, you live by the three you die by the three. We may finally be able to get to the basket. Don't you think that would spark Kidd more? We still have Terry and Dirk shooting lights outs from behind the arc. All this trade talk has my Mav's blood flowing. I'm starting to get some pre-season jitters.

I like the Marion deal too, he gave us such grief for so long when he was with the Suns. He can run, defend and his athleticism will be a great asset. I can see him working well with Kidd. I'm looking forward to some great lobs to Marion from Kidd.

yeah I like the way were gunna matchup against the lakers. The only upperhand theyll have on us is kobe but i bet marion can contain him.

Kidd on fisher- too easy
Marion or J-ho on Kobe or artest- 4 of the best defenders in the league. that will be fun to watch
Dirk on Pau- Gasol is a less talented version of Dirk that dosnt shoot as well. Dirk will out play him every day of the week.
Gortot on Bynum- Bynum is the most overrated center in the league. Pau makes him look good and lakers play the same when hes out half the time from injury. Gortat is more aggressive and should have the upperhand.

Mavs will no longer be considered soft or unathletic. I cant wait for this next season!!

Man... I just dont know whats going to happen with Damp. I guess we will find out soon enough after Gortat officially signs with the mavs.

hmm Damp is not that effective anymore though his experience is undenial but we need more athletic moves from our center like Gort hihi... hope we can get Bass back or else let's use Damp to get a good back up for Dirk, maybe Amare? LOL!

nothing good comes from damp... Maybe just keep him around as a backup and then not resign him next year and we could have room to resign Howard. Or we could sign another big talent.
